CULTVR installs d&b Soundscape

Opened in 2019 as the UK’s first immersive arts centre and Europe’s first ‘cross-disciplinary Lab’, CULTVR has made Cardiff a key destination for XR (Extended Reality) and the immersive possibilities of live performance. The recent installation of a d&b Soundscape system in the venue’s Theatre Dome, marks a significant step forward for the organisation.

Assistive listening specialist Contacta Systems has entered the Asia-Pacific market with a region-wide distribution deal throough Hong Kong-based IT and A/V services provider, YYST Global. The move will make products from Contacta’s window intercom, RF, IR and hearing loop ranges readliy available within the region.

Live plug-in transformation on Rahman’s Wonderment Tour

Having spent much of 2025 on the Wonderment Tour of the world, AR Rahman’s FOH engineer Riyasdeen Riyan and monitor engineer Mark Thomas have benefited from their use of Fourier Audio’s transform.engine, a host server that runs VST3 plug-ins with extremely low latency. Both engineers paired it with Fourier’s transform.suite ’25 software bundle on their respective DiGiCo Quantum338 consoles.
