Portugese shrine upgrades sound systems for pilgrims

Located in Cova da Iria in central Portugal, the Shrine of Fátima is among the most important Catholic pilgrimage sites in the world, with many travelling long distances on foot to reach it. To support such gatherings, the site recently adopted a new audio system using Renkus-Heinz IC Live beam-steering technology.

DPA takes piano role on latest Yann Tiersen tour

Known for his emotive, minimalist compositions and genre-blending artistry, French composer/instrumentalist Yann Tiersen’s latest tour comprises an opening set of solo piano followed by a second half steeped in modular synthesis and electronics. The challenge facing sound engineer Jamie Harley was to find a way to blend the two very into a seamless live experience – DPA Microphones’ DPK2015 Piano Stereo Kit was the answer.
