Teatro Colón finds balance for Astor Piazzolla Eterno

Among the world’s most prestigious Opera Houses, the acoustics and architecture of Argentina’s Teatro Colón have made it a favourite of greats such as Pavarotti. For the recent Astor Piazzolla Eterno cycle, however, the acoustics presented a challenge: how to deliver sound reinforcement in one of the world’s best acoustically designed venues without altering its original identity.

Las Vegas’ Studio DMI complex is home to Grammy-nominated mix and mastering engineer Luca Pretolesi  (Major Lazer, Drake, Skrillex, Diplo), now houses four Focal-equipped studios including a Dolby Atmos certified all-Focal mixing studio, following the installation of Focal’s Utopia Main 212 soffit-mounted monitors.

Stuttgart’s HMDK upgrades recording facilities with Genelec

Stuttgart’s State University of Music and the Performing Arts (HMDK) is among Germany’s largest and most prestigious universities for the arts, as well as playing an important role as a concert promoter and cultural centre. With an increasing focus on immersive audio, HMDK recently upgraded its recording facilities with a 9.1.4 control room equipped with Genelec Smart Active Monitors.
