Sennheiser Spectera set for Eurovision Song Contest debut

Meeting to discuss audio considerations for the coming Eurovision Song Contest found Agorà and Sennheiser – both official audio suppliers to the ORF for the event – assembled at Sennheiser’s head office in front of large screens displaying control software, and mobile and stationary wireless audio devices under endurance testing.

A pioneering facility at the University of Bristol is aiming for a new benchmark in immersive audio, research and cinematic experience. The MyWorld Smart Cinema, part of the wider MyWorld programme in the West of England, has selected the Dynaudio Acoustics M-Series MkII monitors as the backbone of its state-of-the-art installation.

Breakbeat breaks new ground for US immersive venues

The Breakbeat recently opened in downtown Chico, California, in a former sunglasses store that founder, Azariah ‘Z’ Reynolds, has transformed into a multipurpose arts and performance space built around the first L-Acoustics DJ installation in the Americas. Reynolds turned to Denver-based Brown Note Productions, an L-Acoustics Certified Provider with experience of complex audio installations to devise a venue that punches above its physical footprint.

Charlotte church gathers flock with DiGiCo and Klang

The flock at the Good Shepherd Church has become quite diverse over the past 35 years, with four Sunday worship gatherings – three in English and one in Spanish – serving its community in Charlotte, North Carolina, as well around the world through online services. Good Shepherd is also tech-savvy, and recently installed a DiGiCo Quantum225 FOH console paired with the new Klang:vokal+ as part of its IEM mixing world.

Tiffany’s Show Pattaya makes anniversary upgrade

Among Thailand’s longest-running stage productions, Tiffany’s Show Pattaya has marked its 50th anniversary by bringing immersive sound to its performances. The project was led by Bangkok-based production company Mr Team in collaboration with Martin Audio, TiMax and regional partners Fuzion Far East and Generation AV.
