Martin Audio welcomed sound engineer and production manager Jay Eigenmann, to its product support team. In his new role, Eigenmann will provide product and application support primarily across the Americas, including design work, service calls, commissioning, event support and training.

Based in New York City, Eigenmann has developed a long-standing relationship with the company and its personnel over the years, first as a freelance engineer, then via the sound system installation at (Le) Poisson Rouge (LPR) in New York’s Greenwich Village. As LPR’s Production Director and chief audio engineer, he oversaw the deployment of a wide portfolio of Martin Audio solutions.

Jay EigenmannThe LPR installation provided an in-depth opportunity to familiarise himself with the manufacturer’s design and software tools. ‘While it wasn’t the first time I had specified Martin Audio in general, it was the first time doing so for an installation,’ he says.

Eigenmann has since freelanced regularly for the company, assisting with service, events and commissioning while frequently encountering and specifying their systems in the field and for other installs and special events. ‘I have always enjoyed working on MA systems,’ he says. ‘I admire the brand’s products, unique philosophy and the people.

‘It’s an amazing time to be at Martin Audio with our best line up ever, and an exciting trajectory for the near future. I’m looking forward to being a part of all that’s to come.’

He aims to combine his new role at Martin Audio with ‘synergising my skills as an engineer… to spread awareness on the unique capabilities and qualities of our systems and their accompanying tools, uniting audiences in great sound.’
