Audio collaboration technologies specialist Audiomovers has recruited Nile Rodgers to serve as as Chief Collaborator and Chair of its Board of Advisors.
Rodgers lends his creative vision to Audiomovers – who have enabled remote music creation for producers and engineers working with top artists like Aaron Dessner (with Taylor Swift), iLLmind (with J Cole, Jay-Z), Jesse Ray Ernster (with Burna Boy) and Stuart White (with Beyoncé), and have powered more than 3m collaborative sessions to date.
Rodgers brings a deeply personal philosophy of collaboration to his new role:
‘Creativity is born in connection and collaboration – in those subtle, powerful moments where ideas collide, vulnerability is shared and innovation emerges from the unexpected. No-one enables that better than Audiomovers. They saved the music industry during the pandemic and quickly established themselves as the go-to for global collaboration; now they are transforming what’s possible for creators everywhere. This opportunity speaks to everything I care about in music and creativity – I knew I had to be part of it. Together, we’re going to elevate how artists, producers, and composers create together, and push the future of music forward.’
‘Audiomovers continues Abbey Road’s legacy of game-changing audio innovation – challenging industry norms and setting the standard for how creators collaborate globally,’ says Audiomovers General Manager, Dom Dronska. ‘But we’re not stopping there. Now, we’re pushing the possibilities of what comes next: giving creators new, seamless ways to move, manage and connect audio at every stage of their creative process. And making sure that nothing stands in the way of bold ideas being made real. The music industry runs on creative exchange, and nobody embodies this spirit better than Nile Rodgers. He personifies collaboration, innovation and creativity. There’s simply no one better to help us imagine and shape the future of how music is made.’
Rodgers will lead a group of advisors drawn from top-tier artists and technologists, and his involvement signals Audiomovers’ commitment to the next era of artist-led creativity, aiming to break down technological barriers and redefine how music is made. This new chapter will see Audiomovers expand its ecosystem beyond collaboration, boldly reimagining seamless tools for managing, moving and creating audio, wherever the creative need leads. With Rodgers at the helm of its Advisory Board, Audiomovers is doubling down on its mission to empower creators everywhere, transforming not just how music is made, but how it’s shared, experienced and connected across the world.
