Renkus-Heinz has recruited three new team members to its engineering department. Hai Le joins the team as Embedded Software Engineer, Robert Newman takes on the role of Loudspeaker Engineering Technician and Peng Yin joins as Senior Software Engineer.

Hai Le brings more than 20 years of experience working on embedded software development. Since completing a master’s degree in computer science at California State University, Fullerton, he has been involved in building successful products for a range of industries, including computer storage, networking, medical devices, flight software and traffic detection.

‘I have worked on video products in the past, but they did not include audio,’ Le says. ‘I am very excited to have the opportunity to learn about sound, whilst contributing to the exceptional performance of Renkus-Heinz loudspeakers.’

Chad DeFranco, Robert Newman, Peng Yin and Hai LeTransferring from a Technical Head role at an audio engineering company, Newman boasts 15 years’ experience in professional audio, with a strong focus on transducer design, manufacturing and testing. He enjoys finding innovative solutions to problems to help projects move forward. His background in hands-on craftsmanship, engineering theory and technical management ensures he will hit the ground running in his new role as Loudspeaker Engineering Technician.

Peng Yin joins the Renkus-Heinz team as Senior Software Engineer having completed two master’s degrees in Software Engineering and Civil Engineering at the University of California, Irvine. Yin has held various software engineering roles since 2016, leading teams to success with his broad knowledge of programming languages and experience in testing software. Yin looks forward to bringing his enthusiasm for audio to his new position.

I’m excited to contribute to groundbreaking audio technologies that shape how music and live experiences are heard around the world,’ he says. ‘With my background in real-time systems, signal processing, and .NET development, I look forward to building tools that push the boundaries of acoustic innovation and bring sonic excellence to life.’

Hai Le, Robert Newman and Peng Yin will work with Engineering Manager Chad DeFranco and the wider engineering team to support Renkus-Heinz’s goals.

‘In a post-Covid landscape, we are building a more diversified and highly skilled team that will lead us into the future,’ DeFranco says. ‘Together with our existing engineering team, our new recruits will be instrumental in enhancing our Rhaon software and loudspeaker platforms, giving us a firm footing to achieve our roadmap of technological innovations.’
