Jamie DunnThe company’s service, support and project management (with their focus on R&D for Virtual Studio Manager and theWALL) will remain based in Wiesbaden, with sales managed by Lawo in Rastatt. The two companies have worked closely together for many years and their integration promises greater generate synergies, particularly in international sales and customer service. The common goal is to advance Virtual Studio Manager (VSM) as a manufacturer-independent control system that is open to all remote protocols, and to promote the use of theWALL multiviewer control software with monitor walls worldwide.

‘Our customers will benefit from this integration in many ways,’ says Jamie Dunn, Head of Global Sales for Lawo, formerly L-S-B. ‘The additional R&D resources within Lawo and the extensive expertise in user interface design complement the existing capacity of the present Lawo team in Wiesbaden in order to develop the VSM toolbox and user experience further. These expanded resources will enable VSM and theWALL to evolve even faster and better suited to customers’ needs and requirements.’

‘With this step, we have reached a new level of R&D power, knowhow and experience,’ adds Andreas Hilmer, Director Marketing & Communications. ‘By extending the Lawo portfolio of IP-based network, video and audio products with solutions for overall and comprehensive control, we serve the broadcast industry by in-depth integration of VSM even better by offering turnkey-solutions from one source. Lawo will advance VSM and theWALL while keeping them the manufacturer-independent solution supporting more third-party equipment than any other solution available. This open approach perfectly fits in with the Lawo philosophy of supporting open standards for the benefit of all customers.’
