In the wake of the recent Namm Show in Anaheim, California, Genelec Inc has become the newest member of the METalliance (Music Engineering & Technology Alliance) Pro Partner programme. Pro Partner membership is limited to companies that have shown the initiative to manufacture and distribute products that meet the METalliance organisation’s professional audio standards.
Members of METalliance – including George Massenburg, Chuck Ainlay, Frank Filipetti and Sylvia Massy – lectured at Genelec’s Namm Show exhibition space throughout the convention covering subjects including immersive audio and monitoring techniques.
‘I’ve used many monitors of all types and brands in my professional career,’ METalliance founding member and multi award-winning engineer/producer George Massenburg says. ‘I started using Genelecs for critical listening some time ago, maybe about 25 years ago or so, and have depended on them for consistency and accuracy ever since.’
