Beyma has introduced the 12MC500 woofer, a 2.5-inch voice coil/ceramic magnet design able to handle 1kW programme power.

The driver uses Beyma’s Maltcross advanced cooling system (patent pending), which reduces losses due to power compression effects. It is intended for low and mid/low frequency programme handling, and accommodates large coil displacements and is very sensitive and linear over a wide audio band. Its weight is 5.8kg being a design.
