DirectOut has introduced Prodigy.MX, a multiformat audio matrix that ‘elevates the audio routing, converting and processing capabilities of the Prodigy Series to the next level’.

DirectOut Prodigy.MXProdigy.MX offers 1664 x 1668 audio channels, with modular hardware that simultaneously accommodates multiple audio formats, selectable between Dante, Ravenna/AES67, SoundGrid, AVB/Milan and Madi. The modules feature bidirectional sample rate conversion (HD SRC), enabling connections across various clock boundaries.

Operational control is facilitated through globcon control software (Mac and PC), with local operation simplified by an intuitive touch display that provides essential monitoring and control capabilities. Third-party control protocols, such as Ember+, are available as options to assist integration into larger systems.

In its first release Prodigy.MX will incorporate processing features including gain control for all inputs and outputs, and channel grouping. Additional DSP functionailty planned for future updates to expand potential applications.

DirectOut is also introducing new high-channel count Madi modules shaped for the audio network slots of the Prodigy devices and adding extra capacity and flexibility to the series.
