PreSonus has announced a new generation of its FaderPort USB production controller, incorporates elements from the company’s FaderPort 8.
The new FaderPort provides a 100mm touch-sensitive, motorised fader for writing fades and automation in real time and 24 buttons covering 40 functions, housed in a compact chassis suited to desktop use. There is a footswitch input for hands-free start/stop (footswitch not included).
A Session Navigator section provides access to eight mission-critical functions for maximum flexibility. Use the large 360° encoder button and companion buttons to edit and mix with greater efficiency and speed. The encoder allows scrolling along the timeline as an alternative to working measure-by-measure with the arrow buttons; zooming in and out on the timeline is achieved with the encoder, as is navigation and dropping of markers.
The FaderPort features an optimised HUI mode for Pro Tools as well as custom MCU operation modes for Logic Pro X, Cubase, and Ableton Live guaranteeing a superior experience. No driver installation is necessary. FaderPort is optimised for use with PreSonus Studio One (Studio One Artist included).
FaderPort ships at a street price of US$199.95.
