One year after its Voicemeeter Potato Release, VB-Audio Software is updating all the Voicemeeter series to v1.0.7.0 for Voicemeeter Standard, v2.0.5.0 for Voicemeeter Banana and v3.0.1.0 for Voicemeeter Potato.
Voicemeeter is a virtual audio mixer and a virtual audio device for Windows able to connect any audio points and any audio applications together. The new versions come to correct different bugs reported during the past year and to offer new functions and features requested by users.
A strip limiter on every inputs to improve the production process, a playback loop option for the integrated tape recorder, a multi track recording option to generate one file per recorded channel, a Pre/Post FX switch for the virtual ASIO insert driver (VST host or DAW, for example), the 192kHz support for the main audio stream, and a first x64 bits version of Voicemeeter Potato (in Voicemeeter folder).
The MacroButtons application in Voicemeeter gets eight different coloured buttons and a wait(ms) instruction to create sequence of commands in the script. MacroButtons can also now manage DMX 512 Network through a USB serial interface and send any DMX commands thanks to simple functions.
‘Tthis year we saw a growing number of users, with several thousands of installations per day,’ says VB-Audio’s Vincent Burel. ‘It shows the interest in Voicemeeter, which is becoming a standard tool to manage audio in rational way under Windows, especially in the gaming and streaming world.
‘With Voicemeeter Potato, we think we could interest the music world as small mixing console, and Home Studio users as universal virtual audio board for small production or just to help out to manage any kind of audio devices or system (Voicemeeter is an audio hub and can provide numerous services to manage various audio points and audio formats in real time).’
Voicemeeter Standard and Voicemeeter Banana are distributed as donationware, Voicemeeter Potato is distributed as donationware with an activation code, free to download and free to use. It will periodically prompt activation of a licence after 30 days.
