Tailored to film production, sports broadcasts and field recording applications, Rycote has launched the BD-10 Fig-of-8 microphone and HC-35 long shotgun microphone.

Expanding the company’s Pencil Microphone Format, the BD-10 is intended for MS recordings in field recording applications, with a primary focus on ambient sounds and dialogues. Simultaneously, the HC-35 joins the company’s shotgun line for sports broadcasts, expansive outdoor shots, and scripted TV dialogues. Both mics integrate with Rycote’s industry-standard windshields and shockmounting accessories.

The BD-10 microphone features an capsule design that allows for accurate stereo recordings with excellent detail and clarity. In addition, it has an integrated suspension system that minimises handling noise and vibration, suiting it to capture of dialogue and ambience in film production, as well as field recording applications.

The HC-35 long shotgun microphone is designed for a wide variety of broadcasting applications, including football games and other situations where clear audio is mission critical. It offers high off-axis rejection to help reduce unwanted noise from the surroundings. Additionally, its lightweight design makes it convenient and easy to handle.
