Harman Professional Solutions has introduced the JBL Eon One Mk2 battery-powered column PA, featuring a five-channel digital mixer, Lexicon and dbx DSP, Bluetooth 5.0 and full app control of a lightweight, rechargeable loudspeaker system weighing 42.5lb.

battery-powered column PA,The system draws on JBL Eon-family acoustic innovations to claim higher output, greater clarity and deeper coverage than any PA in its class. Its geometrically-optimised, C-shaped array of eight 2-inch tweeters works in combination with a 10-inch woofer to deliver an even response down to 37Hz. This C-shaped array provides wide horizontal dispersion and deep vertical throw that ensure loud, clear sound anywhere in the room.

Driving Eon One Mk2’s acoustics is a 1.5kW (peak) amplifier with Variable Power Performance technology to optimise performance for either AC or battery power operation, providing 4dB extra headroom when connected to AC power. The Eon One MK2 is engineered for versatility and ease of use, offering pro-grade processing with an innovative triple tier interface packed inside of a full colour LCD that lets users choose beginner, intermediate or advanced control. The system features Lexicon effects including reverb, chorus and delay, in addition to a full suite of dbx DriveRack technology, including AFS (Automatic Feedback Suppression), parametric EQ, limiters, delays and SubSynth..

Presenters, fitness instructors and emcees will find the Soundcraft Easy Ducking feature able to lower BGM level when speech is detected. Performers can play extended sets, thanks to an easily swappable six-hour battery in the column.

The five-channel digital mixer input options include three Neutrik XLR combo jacks, one Hi-Z input and a quarter-inch balanced passthrough with independent volume control and loudspeaker delay. Two channels of true 48V phantom power for support of condenser microphones.

The system can be controlled by the JBL Pro Connect app, which provides remote access via Bluetooth 5.0 to every function and preset from a phone or tablet for up to ten units.

The Eon One Mk2 is designed for one hand carry, with an ergonomic handle that’s engineered for maximum comfort. The system is encased in a durable polypropylene shell that’s rugged enough to handle even the toughest gigs. Like every JBL speaker, the Eon One MK2 undergoes 100 hours of stress testing to ensure that it’ll perform flawlessly in real-world conditions.

‘We designed the Eon One Mk2 to meet the needs of a huge range of users,’ says Harman Professional Solutions Loudspeaker Product Manager, Brandon Knudsen. ‘It’s ideal for anyone from buskers seeking pro-grade sound without AC power, to educators and hospitality providers who want fast setup and ease of use, to houses of worship and rental companies who need portable solutions for indoor and outdoor applications. You get all of this fidelity and functionality in a system that won’t break the bank – or your back.’
