Adding more than 30 new loudspeaker drivers to its range, Italian manufacturer FaitalPro has released the 12HP1030, 15HP1030 and 18HP1030, 12-inch, 15-inch and 18-inch woofers.
Offering power handling of from 2kW and 2.4kW, all models use ferrite motors and have two non-adjacent symmetrical spiders with variable height waves for maximum control on the entire excursion.
‘Some speakers actually improve with ferrite, since the magnetic field works in a completely different way – favouring some of the features that, for example, are particularly appreciated in subwoofers,’ Says Overseas Sales Manager, Flavio The 12-inch 12HP1010, 15-inch 15HP1010 and 18-inch 18HP1010 drivers are designed for designs requiring less power but retaining the use of two non-adjacent symmetrical spider designs. The mid/woofer 12FH510, meanwhile, can be paired with a 1-inch driver in a two-way system, and has a low roll-off spider that eliminates the requirement for electronic filtering. The 15FH510 handles up to 1kW max (500W nominal) power and has a higher Fs than the 18-inch 18FH510, which handles 1.2kW with an Fs value of 30Hz.
The company’s established neodymium driver ranges are not affected by the release of the new ferrite models.
