Lavoce Italiana has announced three new high-output neodymium woofers.
The WAN082.02 (Neo 8-inch), WAN143.00 (Neo 13.5-inch) and WAF153.03 (Ferrite 15-inch) all use aluminium baskets for high-performance multi-way systems, having been developed using proprietary low frequency Loudspeaker Design Suite software, which combines various aspects of design (Lumped Parameters, Electromagnetic, Suspension, Vibroacoustic and Thermal) into a single simulation model. Each of these high-output woofers has been optimised to exhibit a smooth frequency response and low distortion and are perfect solutions for premium projects that require a high-energy performance.
The WAN082.02 is a neodymium high-output 8-inch with 400W programme power rating, 2-inch copper voice coil, 96.5dB sensitivity, 5.8mm Xmax and a frequency range of 80Hz-5kHz. Other features include a copper ring for extended frequency response and a waterproof treatment on the front of the cone.
WAN143.00 is a neodymium high-output 13.5-inch with 700W programme power handling, 3-inch copper voice coil, 100dB sensitivity, 7.5mm Xmax and a frequency range of 45Hz-3kHz. Other features include magnetic shielding due to its neo slug magnet design and a waterproof treatment on the front of the cone.
WAF153.03 is a ferrite high-output 15-inch with 1kW programme power handling, 3-inch copper voice coil, 100.5dB sensitivity, 6.7mm Xmax and a frequency range of 40Hz-3kHz. Other features include an aluminium demodulating ring for reduced distortion and a waterproof treatment on the front of the cone.
