Mackie has added new mobile production microphones to its EM Series, targeting on-the-go content creators using Smartphones and DSLRs. The line comprises the EM-93M, EM-93MK, EM-95ML and EM-98MS.
The EM-93M is an ultra-compact directional microphone. Fully plug-and-play, it mounts discreetly on a DSLR camera or smartphone and comes with multiple connecting cables and mounting hardware. It comes complete with a shockmount to eliminate the bumps and thuds and a furry windscreen.
The EM-93MK is a mobile vlogger essentials kit with the EM-93M microphone, furry and foam windscreens, and a gimbal tripod with extension pole. Accompanying the mic are a super-bright, variable temperature LED video light with diffuser, and three different cold shoe mounts for DSLR or other devices.
The EM-98MS is a high-performance shotgun mic offering high focus and directivity. Pickup can be tailored with the high-pass filters and variable gain control, and audio monitored via a built-in headphone output. Other featues include an overdrive protection mode and auto on-off, and it is powered via its own rechargeable Lithium-ion battery The EM-98MS includes two different windscreens, professional shockmount, cables and carrying case.
For productions requiring an up-close and personal touch, the EM-95ML is a premium omnidirectional condenser lavalier microphone with integrated in-line amplifier suited to both smartphones and DSLRs.
The EM Series Mobile Microphones is available worldwide in Q3 2022. Sold individually, the US MAP pricing is US$59.99 for the EM-93M, US$139.99 for EM-93MK, US$69.99 for EM-95M, and US$139.99 for EM-98MS.
