The recent development of its Dual Gain Path technology has given Merging Technologies’ newly released Anubis and ADA8S/ADA8P converter cards ‘unprecedented’ specifications in terms of dynamic range compared to more traditional mic preamplifier and analogue-to-digital conversion circuitry.

Merging has posted noise floor comparisons as audio files and FFTs on its website in order to demonstrate comparisons between this new technology and its older designs, and also with third-party gear

The new ADA8S and ADA8P modules are available in models that work up to 192kHz (ADA8S) and DXD/DSD256 (ADA8P). These new remotely controlled mic/line input and output cards are third-generation Dual Gain topology designs, inspired by the Anubis Preamps.
