US manufacturer API has appointed Studio Connections as Australia distributor for both its outboard modules and 1608 console sales.

Studio Connections has been a dominant player in the Australian pro audio market for more than 20 years, and recently relocated to the Melbourne suburb of Nunawading. Its new premises are designed for professional sales and demonstration, and include a dedicated 1608 demo room.

‘Our new facility is fabulous and funky,’ says Studio Connection MD, Deb Sloss. ‘We intend to be a relaxed and welcoming space where customers can drop in for a coffee, a chat, and be able to experience all the great gear from API, including our own fully-operational 1608 console.’

Working closely with their network of dealers, Studio Connections is looking to expand API’s presence in Australia: ‘We have witnessed an unprecedented level of interest in API products from our dealers and end-users alike,’ Sloss says. ‘API carries a rich heritage of extremely high-quality audio products and consoles.
