Glasgow-based CUK Audio has been appointed UK distributor for German steerable audio specialist Pan Beam.
Pan Beam’s range of self-powered, DSP-controlled column loudspeakers are designed to support speech and music, especially in difficult acoustic settings such as halls and other reverberant spaces. Pan Beam loudspeakers are capable of extremely flexible steering, claiming a near constant and precise signal alignment and accomplishing consistent and high sound levels for all audience areas in large venues.
‘With steerable columns being established in the market place over the past ten-plus years, many companies have engineered their own solutions as part of an existing range of products in an attempt to tap into the growing market,’ says Stuart Thomson, MD of CUK Audio. ‘We have looked at the various solutions appearing in the market and all had their strengths and weaknesses. We were looking for a company that specialised in steerable products, that had leading technology and the feature set that the market needed.
