TiMax has appointed Technical Audio Group (TAG) as distribution partner for Australia, taking on the full TiMax range, including SoundHub spatial processing, panLab and TrackerD4 stagetracking.
Established in 1984, Sydney-based TAG boasts a 90-strong team, with branch offices in Melbourne and Perth, regional representation in South Australia and Queensland, and dedicated in-house training and service infrastructure.
‘TAG has an outstanding reputation built over many decades, with deep relationships across the live performance, install and broadcast sectors,’ says TiMax Commercial Manager, Rik Kirby. ‘This experience and technical capability make the company the ideal team to introduce TiMax spatial audio and showcontrol tools to Australian sound designers, integrators and production professionals.’
TAG’s existing portfolio spans concert and live music, commercial A/V and consumer/prosumer markets, with a brand line-up that includes Martin Audio, Audio-Technica, Allen & Heath, Q-Sys, QSC and others. The addition of TiMax extends that offering into immersive and object-based spatial audio, complementing solutions already used by theatres, venues, integrators and rental companies nationwide – and creating cross-portfolio synergy with sister-brand Martin Audio.
