Held annually at Frankfurt exhibition grounds since 1995, Prolight + Sound will no longer take place at the German venue.
‘The level of commitments for the 2026 edition did not reach a point that would have ensured a satisfactory staging of Prolight + Sound,’ the company organiser has stated. ‘For this reason, we have taken the difficult decision to discontinue Prolight + Sound in Frankfurt. Although the event will no longer take place in Frankfurt, the brand remains an important part of our international trade fair portfolio.’
The brand continues internationally in the Asian market, with events in Guangzhou and Bangkok that showcases innovations in audio, lighting and stage technology, LED and display systems, A/V systems integration, and MI. Held at the China Import & Export Fair Complex (28–31 May 2026), the Guangzhou event ranks as among the most important within the Prolight + Sound Asia network, and is regarded as Asia’s leading trade fair for professional lighting, audio and entertainment technology.
Prolight + Sound Bangkok, meanwhile, is a new international professional A/V exhibition, and part of the global Prolight + Sound brand. As a trade fair for event technology in Southeast Asia, it offers the growing markets of the ASEAN region and provides direct access to the regional entertainment industry.
The exhibition is held at the Bangkok International Trade & Exhibition Centre (BITEC) in Bangkok, Thailand, and will take place from 30 September to 2 October 2026.
