Applications are being invited for the postgraduate Sound Engineering course offered by RCF in collaboration with the Department of Sciences and Methods for Engineering (DISMI) at the University of Modena and Reggio Emilia (Unimore) for the 2025/2026 Academic Year.

Designed to develop both theoretical and practical competence, the program focuses on the comprehension, analysis, and design of professional sound-reinforcement systems across acoustics, electroacoustics, electronics, and sound-system design. An international reference project developed by RCF will be used as a common guideline throughout the course.

Postgrad Sound Engineering course invites applicationsLed by course director Professor Emilio Lorenzani, the curriculum addresses acoustics in open-air and indoor environments, including design and simulation methods; transducers and loudspeaker systems, including clusters, arrays, and point-source configurations; electronics, including circuit analysis, filters, power amplifiers, and digital signal processing; and sound system design, supported by practical activities such as measurements, listening tests, and tuning.

The program is delivered primarily online, with approximately 75 per cent of lessons and practical activities available via distance learning in collaboration with Unimore’s E-learning Center, while the remaining portion is delivered on site during a dedicated in-person session betweeen 14-17, September 2026, at the RCF Audio Academy and DISMI in Reggio Emilia, Italy.

The application deadline is March 18, 2026, at 1:00 p.m. CET, and online lessons will be available starting April 22, 2026. Applications and enrollment must be completed through Unimore’s Esse3 online portal, and the official call for applications (available in both Italian and English) can be downloaded from the Unimore website. The enrollment fee is €850.
