Solid State Logic has launched the SSL Certified Training Partner Program to support schools and institutions’ efforts to give students critical skills in audio, expand their professional networks and gain a competitive edge in the job market.
Led by Ashleigh Davies, Head of Educational Program and Services, SSL believes that the venture is already having a significant impact, with 36 training partners across 53 campuses worldwide, including Collarts, SAE Madrid and pointBlank music School. The programme currently spans the UK, Ireland, Italy, Spain, France, Germany, US, Australia and Canada.
Central to the initiative is the Complete Access Educational bundle based on SSL and Slate Digital plug-ins, including the autoSeries plug-ins in partnership with sonible, with instructional mixing and production courseware from leading engineers and producers providing complimentary training to educational curricula.
Training partners are investing in SSL hardware, further strengthening the connection between education and industry standards.
‘Helping the next generation of musicians and audio creative professionals as they study is a key objective for all at SSL, as that is how many of our team started their own journeys,’ says SSL MD, Nigel Beaumont. ‘By working with key educational partners, we aim to provide not just the tools and training required to be successful but give direct access to the many fulfilling careers where they can indulge their audio passion’.
‘We are delighted to partner with SSL through their Training Partner Program,’ says BIMM Institute Dean of Music, Alex Searle. ‘This collaboration strengthens our commitment to providing students with access to world-class technology and industry expertise. By integrating SSL’s tools into our teaching, we are preparing graduates to lead the way in shaping the future of music and audio production.’
‘This partnership reinforces our dedication to providing our students with hands-on access to world-class technology and industry knowledge,’ adds Brandon Egerton, Education Director for Audio Arts at Full Sail University. ‘By embedding SSL’s cutting-edge tools into our teaching, we are equipping our students with the industry-standard tools to drive the future of music and audio production.’
