The National Maritime Museum in Greenwich, London, has installed a Wharfedale Pro WLA-1A System as part of a new audio upgrade. The project was delivered in partnership with Stage Concepts, following a successful on-site demonstration of the WLA-1A System.

Part of Royal Museums Greenwich, the National Maritime Museum is one of the world’s leading centres for maritime history and heritage, hosting a wide range of public and corporate events across its historic site.

National Maritime MuseumFollowing the demonstration, the museum’s team agreed on the WLA-1A System, comprising 14 WLA-112A/WLA-115A loudspeakers, two WLA-121SubA, and eight WLA-1 Common Fly Frames.

‘The WLA-1A System from Wharfedale Pro is an exceptional choice for this type of installation, delivering uniform coverage and outstanding clarity,’ says Stage Concepts Product Specialist, Brett Newton. ‘Spoken word, vocals, and music all come through with impressive definition.’

The system is now permanently installed within the museum’s new event space and is being used for corporate functions and various activities across the grounds.

‘Sound system is in and sounds great,’ reports Chris Kruger, Senior Audio-Visual Technician at the National Maritime Museum. ‘Big improvement in the sound — the directors are happy here, so thanks for all your help!’
