The 2025 Tardezinha tour marks the tenth anniversary of one of Brazil’s most popular live music events. Created and led by Thiaguinho, 26 shows in Brazil – and several international stops in Lisbon, Miami, Sydney and Luanda – showcase samba and pagode classics from the 1990s and 2000s for tens of thousands of fans in an in-the-round format with sound service from Gabisom Audio Equipment and Outline.

São Paulo-based Gabisom Audio Equipment is among the world’s largest audio hire companies supplying a touring inventory of 172 Outline enclosures, including 64 GTO C-12, 64 Superfly, 32 DBS 18-2 subwoofers and 12 Mantas 28 boxes for the shows. All the Superfly cabinets are deployed as delay towers, while the Mantas 28 are used as front fill, completing a system design tailored to the 360° stage format.

The 2025 Tardezinha tour ‘The audio crew for the tour is composed of five core professionals, supported by local stagehands in each city,’ says Technical Producer Leandro Oliveira. ‘I am responsible for leading the team and overseeing all audio equipment used throughout the tour, while System Engineer Danilo Leal ensures that the PA delivers consistent and even coverage across all audience areas.

‘William Garcia manages rigging operations, with 24 motor points deployed in each venue to guarantee safety and precision. Jader Aires takes care of delay tower operations and power distribution, and Wesley Matos is responsible for the main PA for the 360° stage. Together, we work as an integrated team to deliver a consistent, efficient and high-performance audio experience at every stop of the tour.’

According to System Engineer Danilo Leal, the Outline system proved key in overcoming the acoustic challenges presented by the circular stage design: ‘One of the main issues we faced was the accumulation of low frequencies on stage. To address this, we used the low-shelf filtering feature available through Outline’s control software, which proved highly effective in managing excessive low-end energy around the performance area.

‘Another major advantage was the exceptional coherence between the Outline enclosures. This allowed for precise control and made system alignment much more manageable. The GTO C-12 also stood out for its impressive SPL and throw efficiency – even with a relatively small number of boxes, we were able to reach long distances comfortably and clearly.

‘The [DBS 18-2] subwoofers were remarkably compact yet delivered powerful SPL output, fully meeting the demands of our setup without requiring excessive space or quantity.’

‘One of the most remarkable features of the system is its mechanical design, which allows us to accurately position each enclosure to achieve complete and even coverage across all audience areas,’ Oliveira continues, ‘The system is extremely practical and intuitive, and that makes the setup process much faster, which is critical when we face tight time windows.

‘The structural robustness of the system has been crucial for touring logistics. It is designed to handle long-distance travel and demanding conditions, which has made transportation and deployment much more efficient and reliable throughout the tour.’

‘One of the key tools supporting us is Outline’s Open Array modelling software, which allows us to accurately predict and simulate all the variables of each venue in advance,’ Leal adds, ‘This level of precision has been essential in adapting the system to different environments without compromising quality.’

From the artist’s team came equally positive reactions: ‘Under ideal conditions, the artist’s mix engineer mentioned that he felt as if he were in a studio – the system delivered an extremely balanced and clear sound, which allowed for precise mixing and great musical detail.’

For Oliveira, reliability and sound quality are the most important assets of the deployment: ‘We are running three simultaneous signal paths to the GTA amplifiers – AES, Dante and analog – which gives us flexibility and confidence in any situation.’

‘Musically, the Outline system’s fidelity allows for a more creative and dynamic mix. In terms of practicality, it’s a system that ‘understands’ the road: reliable, robust and intelligently designed.’

As the Tardezinha tour progresses, Outline’s GTO C-12, Superfly, DBS 18-2 and Mantas 28 are repeatedly demonstrating how a carefully designed system can meet the challenges of a 360° stadium production, offering efficient set-up and consistent coverage across every stop on the tour.
