Krakow-based integrator Grupa Clue has installed Powersoft’s Mover haptic technology in the dancefloor of the Bania Music Club nightclub and entertainment venue at the four-star Hotel Bania Thermal and Ski resort in Southern Poland.
The use of more than 30 Mover transducers is part of a wider update of the club’s AVL systems, creating an experience that engages the senses in ways traditional sound systems alone cannot,
Highlighting how Mover, in combination with the Bose speakers, can be used to enhance the nightclub experience for those with hearing loss, Jarosław Repeć, Polish sales manager for Bose Professional, whose audio processors, controllers and loudspeakers were also used in the installation says: ‘This floor can help them enjoy the experience, too – even deaf people can benefit, as they can feel the rhythm through the floor. It’s important that nightclubs don’t forget about people with hearing difficulties.’
Despite being located directly beneath hotel rooms, technology installed in the new-look Bania Music Club means the venue is able to offer patrons an uncompromised nightclub experience. The Mover transducers focus their energy directly into the dancefloor, while the Bose Professional sound system and directional subwoofer configuration keep bass energy contained within the space.
The installation also makes use of Powersoft’s Dante-enabled Quattrocanali 4804 DSP+D amplifiers, which interface with a fully networked AV-over-IP infrastructure, along with a 130-inch Samsung LED wall, Crestron automation system, and immersive lighting controlled via DMX.
‘Mover technology can be adapted and used in different environments, especially schools, museums, theatres and clubs,’ says Powersoft EMEA Business Development Manager, Francesco Cionini. ‘As a compact 90mm cube, Mover can be installed anywhere – for example, under the floor or under a seat – and in all cases enhances the immersive experience.’
Following the Grupa Clue-led AVL upgrade at Hotel Bania – now the proud owner of the first immersive dancefloor in Poland – Cristiano Traferri, Powersoft house account professional leader, is confident that the project marks the first of many Mover installations in the country.
‘Bania Music Club is the first project we have delivered with Mover in Poland, thanks to the trust placed in us by Grupa Clue,’ he says. ‘But we are so positive for the future; this is just the beginning and the best is yet to come.’
