John Merchant's Red Door studio/home offered for sale

Home of award-winning producer John Merchant (Michael Jackson, a property located just outside of Nashville, Tennessee, 35 minutes from the Nashville International Airport (BNA), is now listed for sale. The property is Merchant’s Red Door PhantomFocus MixRoom and current residence.

Red Door PhantomFocus MixRoom The 1,200sq-ft client-ready professional studio is designed by acoustician Peter Gruneisen and boasts a spacious PhantomFocus MixRoom with 14ft-high ceilings, lobby with private bath, large machine room, and insulated concrete form (ICF) construction.

The PhantomFocus MixRoom monitoring installation is the work of award-winning studio design firm, Carl Tatz Design, recently awarded the 2025 TEC Award for Studio Design Project.

Beyond the studio is a stunning 4,000sq-ft four bedroom, five-bath (plus one more in the studio) eco-conscious home on more than an acre. It is being offered at US$1.55m.

Merchant's recording credits include Barbra Streisand, Michael Jackson, R Kelly, Toni Braxton, Celine Dion and Lenny Kravitz, as well as producers Arif Mardin, David Foster, Russ Titelman, Hugh Padgham and Phil Ramone. In 2008, he was nominated for a Grammy as producer for the artist Mika.
