UK pro audio specialist KMR Audio has secured exclusive Europe distribution rights for the Endless Analog Clasp analogue tape recording system.

‘Over the past three months, KMR Audio has demonstrated a strong commitment to expanding the reach of our Clasp product to the UK,’ says Christopher Estes, Endless Analog President/Founder and Clasp inventor. ‘KMR has a longstanding reputation of serving the needs of the professional audio market, and has a thorough understanding of Clasp and its customer base. It is a natural progression to expand the relationship with our company and appoint the company exclusive distributor for all of Europe. We look forward to working closely with KMR to increase our brand visibility and market penetration in Europe, building and strengthening relationships with end-users and dealers alike.’

Five years in the making, Clasp (Closed Loop Analog Signal Processor) offers an easy, cost-effective means of integrating analogue tape into digital production workflow by turning any tape machine into a DAW plug-in processor. It eliminates rewind time and minimises tape cost, and allows use of different tape speeds on the fly to audition and then print, even mixing speeds in the same project.

‘Clasp is probably the most exciting thing to happen to the recording industry for ten years,’ says KMR Sales Manager, Stefan Pope. ‘It means that the analogue tape sound we all love is now available to everyone without sacrificing time or flexibility.’

Current users in the UK include Abbey Road, British Grove and Sphere Studios with more than 170 systems sold worldwide after only one year on the market.
