Continued growth and ‘ambitious expansion plans’ have seen audio, video and MI product distributor CUK Audio relocate from its Glasgow HQ to considerably larger premises in East Kilbride.
‘When we moved to our Glasgow location back in 2010, we thought there was more space than we could ever need,’ Managing director Stuart Thomson, recalls. ‘However, since then, we have delivered year-on-year growth which has accelerated since a change in ownership and the restructuring of the company in to four divisions two years ago. Over the past year, it became apparent that we were very near the limit of what our building could accommodate, and the search was on for a new property that would allow us to continue on our steep growth trajectory.’
Located in the Peel Park commercial area of East Kilbride, the new premises will provide space for the company’s expanding back-office, sales and technical teams, as well as housing five dedicated training suites and a modern distribution centre with more than 750 pallet locations and 1,000 small item locations.
‘The move is not just for practical reasons, it is part of our strategy to invest in enhancing the service we provide our customers,’ says Sales Director, Simon Druce. ‘The first benefits customers can expect are improved delivery times and better facilities for our educational events – but that is just the start.’
The interior fit-out of the new building is well underway and CUK Audio will begin operating from their new premises on in June 2019.
