Sonus will distribute Jünger Audio’s entire product range, including the Level Magic Loudness control that is now incorporated into products from manufacturers including Miranda, Wohler and Harmonic. In addition, it has been adopted as a stand-alone processing system by Discovery Channel, MediaCorp, Canal+, Astro and RTL.

Established in 1995, Sonus is headed by founder, musician, music producer, mastering engineer and regional radio station co-owner David Šuligoj. Responsibility for live sound and studio equipment lies with sales manager Borut Celik, who joined Sonus in 2006 as an experienced live sound engineer and music producer.

The company offers sales and system integration to an extensive customer base in professional recording and postproduction, live sound and theatre, broadcast and audio and multimedia installations. It also sells MI products through a network of dedicated shops. Its clients include RTV Slovenija, Cankarjev Dom, Narodni Dom Maribor, Videoprodukcija Kregar, Radio Robin, SAE Institute Ljubljana, Radio Express, Akustika Pirman, Festival Novo Mesto, Slovene Filharmony and Prva TV.

‘We are particularly impressed with the ease of use of Jünger Audio’s range of equipment and the company’s general approach to product development,’ says Borut Celik. ‘Although we are very new to the range, we have already made a sale to Prva TV, which has invested in a two-channel LT Level Magic non-destructive loudness normaliser. Given the current focus on controlling the loudness of audio, we anticipate plenty of future interest in Jünger Audio’s Level Magic-based loudness solutions, especially from the broadcast market.’

‘In recent years, we have been very successful with our products in Slovenia with, among others, satellite re-broadcaster STN installing our loudness control solution,’ Marc Judor, Jünger Audio Director of Sales and Marketing adds. ‘Therefore it was important for us to strengthen our local presence with a well established, competent and motivated partner, all of which we have found with Sonus.’

Sonus distributes and sells pro audio equipment for a wide range of high-end companies including DPA, Prism Sound, Merging Technologies, Microtech Gefell, Solid State Logic and Trantec. Its primary market focus is Slovenia but it extends its reach into Croatia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Serbia and Montenegro, Macedonia and Italy.
