Mỹ Đình StadiumHeld in Hanoi at the Mỹ Đình Stadium in early October, the anniversary of the establishment of the city drew 30,000 people to witness celebrations involving more than 1,000 performers and dancers – the most spectacular and most important ever organised in Vietnam.

Visual designer Paolo Buroni and a team coordinated by Sabine Linder worked on the artistic and choreographic parts of the show, which documented the history and the beauty of Vietnam through the four elements of nature using a large scale technical deployment of hundreds of image and lighting effects projectors.

The large dimension of the projection area – which included the entire performance are and the structures of the stadium – were frescoed with images projected by 60 Live and Revolution projectors from Italian company, Stark. The projectors were chosen after comparison  with an array of leading technologies and projection systems, and proved their ability to handle difficult projections over very large surfaces – and on every type of  architectural structure.

The event was  of international importance, and was attended by US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, President Sarkozy from France, Russian Premier Putin and many other international heads of state.
