Bürgerhaus Leinstetten has added Allen & Heath solutions to control sound system to meet the concentrating requirements of a wide range of events. Additionally, the system can now be operated by operators with little or no technical expertise.
The venue hosts many different types of events placing particular demands on the installed system. Operation must be intuitive even for those without technical training – whether children’s gymnastics or senior sports, the system should be accessible to everyone. At the same time, professional users such as sound engineers need access to detailed and advanced settings for larger events. In addition, the two zones, foyer and hall, must be able to run independently or together.
To allow these two zones to operate independently, Bronner Audio chose the Allen & Heath AHM-64 audio matrix processor, with its flexible routing and signal processing capabilities. To prepare for larger events, the configuration was expanded with an AR84 expander and an SQ-5 digital mixer.
‘The SQ-5 can be plugged in inside the hall and connects via S-Link to the AHM-64 and AR84,’ says Bronner Audio MD, Martin Bronner. ‘The wireless microphone signals are then routed by the AHM-64 to the mixer, where the actual signal processing takes place. Thanks to the SQ-5, professional users and sound engineers can fine-tune the audio in depth and make specific adjustments.’
To simplify system operation, two IP1 rotary wallplate controllers are installed in the hall and in the foyer. These allow basic functions to be controlled via a single rotary knob, keeping the system easy to handle for all users. For smaller events, an Allen & Heath CC touchpanel is available, offering more advanced control options for finer sound adjustments.
This sophisticated combination of Allen & Heath components forms a system that fully meets the needs of Bürgerhaus Leinstetten: easy to use, highly flexible, and with unrestricted sound adjustment capabilities.
