Following the recent inauguration of a European Experience Centre, Wharfedale Pro has announced improvements in the navigation of its website, and the introduction of ‘finder’ tools to enable customers to make more informed, intelligent decisions on product selection.

Floor Monitor Browsing ToolThe new ‘bracket and rigging finder’ effectively acts as a filterable table that clearly displays which brackets, rigging and poles (X axis) are most suitable for each model of loudspeaker (Y axis), as well as quantities required. The entire loudspeaker range is displayed by default, but the selection can be narrowed to a specific model via a search function. It will serve as an invaluable, at-a-glance tool for integrators who are planning installs of any size.

Wharfedale Pro previously simplified its passive floor monitor offering. With a substantial portfolio of passive floor monitors, it became clear to the company that it then had to simplify the browsing experience and make it easy to differentiate between specifications. By adopting ‘good, better, best’ logic, the line-up has become easier to understand. As part of this cleaning up, the DVP-X and Evo-X passive floor monitors will be discontinued.

‘Wharfedale Pro is a longstanding company that has produced hundreds of products,’ says Wharfedale Pro Marketing Manager, Peter Peck. ‘Over time, we have actively pruned our portfolio to better reflect the audio standards of the time. However, as markets have become increasingly saturated and competitive, we feel that there is an ever pressing need to consolidate our offering and organise our website intuitively.

‘These changes reflect our commitment to reduce the time spent from browsing to purchase. We’ve observed a tendency in the audio industry to over-complicate things and we want to challenge that. We’ll be tracking how these tools affect the purchasing habits of our customers as part of our on-going pursuit of optimisation.’
