Peavey Commercial Audio and Audinate will be joined by Allen & Heath, Lab.gruppen and media partner Sound & Communications have announced a morning of presentations at the Rosen Centre in Orlando. The event will coincide with the forthcoming InfoComm show.

Running on 14 June from 9:00am to 1:00pm, the event includes a talk from award-winning European A/V design consultant Stefan Mathias of the Hartmann Mathais Partnership, and will showcase the real-world implementations and benefits of IP digital networks.

‘Peavey Electronics led the charge into digital audio networking with MediaMatrix, the global standard and market leader since 1993,’ says Hartley Peavey, founder and CEO of Peavey Electronics Corporation. ‘By collaborating with Audinate at InfoComm, we are offering consultants and integrators an open opportunity to learn about Dante, an exciting new transport protocol, and how Peavey has embraced this new technology. We have a long history of innovation, and we will continue to add to MediaMatrix’s capability and flexibility by adopting new technologies like Audinate’s Dante protocol.’

The move from analogue towards digital media networking is being brought about by the convergence of AV and IT, and the uptake of high-performance A/V networking technologies, such as Dante, based on the same underlying standards that are used in IT.

‘This conference should be invaluable to installation contractors and A/V designers who are interested in understanding the trends in the convergence of A/V and IT networks,’ says Audinate CEO, Lee Ellison. ‘It will be extremely beneficial to learn about some of the innovative networking solutions that have been leading the way in Europe. This seminar will bring together a few of our partners and how they are using Dante technology and how Dante de-risks your future by offering a migration to AVB.’
