Amid a flurry of awards ceremonies that includes the Grammy and the UK's Brits, the winners of the 57th Motion Picture Sound Editors' Golden Reel (MPSE) Awards were announced on Sunday 20 February at the Westin Bonaventure Hotel in Los Angeles.

Among the big winners of the awards – which recognise sound work in feature-film, television and other categories – were the topical The Social Network, sci-fi mindbender Inception and WWII mini-series The Pacific.
