Waves Audio has released the CR8 Creative Sampler with built-in Cosmos AI-powered Sample Finder and more than 2,500 free samples.
The Waves CR8 Creative Sampler incorporates powerful creative sample manipulation into a single workflow, with the access to eight sample layers, allowing stacking and mixing of samples, and splitting across keys; five stretching algorithms (Voice, Beats, Melodic, Harmonic and Classic) allowing control of pitch and time independently; key and BPM analysis; easy Loop, Reverse and Freeze for instant control over sample playback.
In addition, samples can be shaped with built-in filters and ADSR envelopes, using drag-and-drop assignment of four LFO/Sequencer modulators and four ADSR envelopes to practically control any CR8 parameter. Keyboard aftertouch, velocity, mod-wheel and pitch-wheel can also be assigned to most CR8 controls, making samples playable in a responsive musical way.
CR8 also includes the built-in Waves Cosmos, an AI-powered Sample Finder that sorts all the one-shots and loops on your computer and auto-tags them by instrument, key, BPM and other musical characteristics. Working together, CR8 and Cosmos support browsing and auditioning of your samples from within the CR8 sampler, while a track is playing, in the context of a session.
