Waves Audio has released the free Cosmos AI-Powered Sample Finder (also included in the Waves CR8 Creative Sampler), bringing all the one-shots and loops on a hard drive into one easy-to-search place.
Cosmos uses advanced Waves Neural Networks technology in order to analyse, auto-tag and sort an entire collection of samples into one unified database, no matter where samples were placed or how the files are named.
Cosmos allows users to see all samples visually laid out in three accessible views – Waveform, List and Cosmos. These can be filtered and searched by instrument, BPM, key and sonic characteristics such as brightness, saturation and dynamics.
Samples can be auditioned from within Cosmos with one click, then dragged-and-dropped into a sampler or DAW.
Cosmos can be opened as a standalone app or opened from within the new Waves CR8 Creative Sampler plug-in, with which it integrates seamlessly. Cosmos also comes pre-packed with more than 2,500 royalty-free, one-shots and loops.
