Focusrite’s RedNet arrives in the Middle East

RedNet 1-5 interfacesDubai-based distributor Melody House has introduced the RedNet system to the Middle East, making Focusrite’s flagship Ethernet-networked studio interfaces available for the first time.

Based on Audinate’s Dante Ethernet audio networking, RedNet is the first to offer IP network audio interfaces for the recording studio – or any application that requires transport of high-quality audio around with low latency.

RedNet provides a scalable audio distribution system, with interfaces offering a dynamic range of 119dB, 192kHz/24-bit conversion and near zero-latency. Each embodies the most advanced digital audio conversion designs available, including the latest AD and DA components, to provide exceptional quality. Clocking between units is carried over Ethernet with JetPLL for ultra-low-jitter.

The system is also highly expandable – Audinate’s Dante technology enables a single link on the network to handle up to 512 channels (I/O) at 48kHz.

‘The RedNet system is designed in a modular way to allow various users flexibility to purchase what they need,’ says Melody House’s Moswain Antao. ‘RedNet can also be connected to most of today’s live audio consoles, bridging the gap from studio to stage.’
