Following the launch of the Leo large-scale sound reinforcement system, US manufacturer Meyer Sound has been working with rental companies including Solotech, Blackhawk and Starlight to bring the system to festivals and concerts across Europe and the US. Promotion of the system to date has been low-key, however.

'Leo represents the culmination of over 35 years of research into linear system technology, and the result is a sound reinforcement system with a tremendous amount of headroom and exceptional fidelity for large-scale live events,' says John Meyer, introducing a new website dedicated to the new system.

As well as giving an insight into the thinking behind the development of the system, the website offer a timeline of developments leading up to Leo and a photo gallery detailing some of its recent outings.

‘We have not promoted the system aggressively so far, but several of you have asked about the system,’ says Meyer Sound PR Manager, Winnie Leung. ‘At this point, I’m excited to announced Leo website where, you can learn about the system, and the live sound and installation projects it has supported.’

Meyer Sound has also released a video of Blackhawk Audio talking about its use of Leo at DeLuna Fest in Florida.
