Already a Milan Associate Member, Joyned is now taking a more active role within the Avnu Alliance through participation in technical working groups, certification initiatives, and industry collaboration as a Promoter Member. Expert in the development of networked audio products and software licencing, Joyned joins the likes of Adamson, Audiotonix, d&b audiotechnik, L-Acoustics, Luminex, Meyer Sound and PreSonus in advancing the Milan ecosystem.
Milan is a user-driven protocol built on top of IEEE Audio Video Bridging (AVB) open standards with added specification requirements for professional media to ensure that all Milan devices will work together on a professional A/V network.
As a Promoter Member, the Austrian company will contribute to the Milan Task Group, support the continued evolution of certification programmes, help improve the accessibility of Milan network-certified switch technology, and contribute to education initiatives through the Alliance’s Expert Certification (EXCEP) Program.
‘We’re pleased to welcome Joyned as a Promoter member of Avnu, building on its journey as a Milan Associate member,’ says Avnu Board Member, Daniel Zimmermann. ‘Avnu is defined by what its members deliver together on real-time Ethernet, and Joyned brings strong momentum with its focus on Milan devices. We look forward to shaping the next phase of the ecosystem together.’
‘We’ve long been committed to Milan because interoperability should be an expectation, not a differentiator,’ offers Joyned founder and CEO, Fabian Braun. ‘With our technology deployed by partners and our products reaching customers worldwide, becoming an Avnu Alliance Promoter Member is the natural next step – it allows us to contribute not only through our products, but also by helping strengthen the Milan ecosystem for the benefit of manufacturers and users alike.’
‘Milan has established a strong technical foundation for interoperability,’ adds Joyned CTO, Morten Lave. ‘We look forward to contributing to its continued evolution, particularly in areas where modern software-driven products can be better supported through certification while maintaining the reliability and interoperability that make Milan successful.’
