Austrian manufacturer Lewitt Audio is working with Elgato to ‘bring creator audio to the next level’ through its Wave Next offering – an integrated ecosystem that offers users studio-quality sound for streams, podcasts and content creation.

‘With Wave Next, we are aiming to combine the best of both the pro audio and the creator audio worlds for seamless audio workflows.’ Says Lewitt CEO, Roman Perschon.

Lewitt and Elgato ‘bring creator audio to next level’Lewitt has worked on the Wave FX processor, a custom chip that fundamentally optimises the signal path by letting users shape sound directly on their devices via a DSP-based processing suite that includes low-cut filtering, an expander, Voice Tune, a compressor and EQ. As with Lewitt’sT’s ConnectT 2 audio interface it is impossible to clip the input due to intelligent limiting.

When paired with Elgato Wave hardware, users can now insert VSTs directly via the completely redesigned Wave Link software. This creates a low-latency path between the hardware and the FX signal chain giving you a single microphone output with a fully processed signal that you can send to any application including your streaming software.

The Wave FX processor is currently being incorporated into its way into four new Elgato products: the Wave:3 Mk.2, Wave XLR Mk.2, XLR Dock Mk.2 and Wave XLR Pro.
