Spread over 22,000sq-m of floor space in the Siam Paragon Bangkok luxury shopping mall, Nextopia offers culture, live events and immersive experiences supported by a sound system designed to ‘support the full visitor journey’.

The brief delivered by the Siam Piwat Group Siam Piwat Group was to for a sound system capable of handling ambient music, DJ performances and concert style events with clarity and control across multiple levels on Floors 5 and 5A of Siam Paragon. Nextopia installs Void sound at Siam Paragon BangkokVoid Acoustics was selected for the contract following a previous installation at Raynue, Bangkok, that proved its performance, design and flexibility in finishes. The system was designed by Aura Visual System, Thailand’s Void Acoustics distributor.

‘This is the largest project we have undertaken,’ says Aura Visual System Project Manager, Gle. ‘It was extremely demanding but, at the same time, incredibly exciting. We worked closely on fine tuning each loudspeaker to ensure the most realistic and immersive sound coverage possible.’

Working alongside Void’s technical team, Aura Visual System delivered a coherent installation across three floors, using full-range, low frequency and high-performance loudspeakers supported by Bias amplification. Floor 4 features 57 Cirrus 6.1 loudspeakers, with Floor 5 using 15 Cyclone 55, two Cyclone 10, five Venu 112 V2, and six Cirrus 6.1 enclosures. Floor 5A is equipped with two Air Motion V2, two Venu 218 V2, 11 Cyclone 10 and eight Venu 112 V2. System amplification comprises the Bias D1+, 11 Bias Q1.5+, and a single Bias Q2+ and Bias Q3 amplifiers.

‘Nextopia is a powerful example of what’s possible when sound is treated as a core part of the experience,’ says Void Acoustics MD, Sam Brandon. ‘The scale and complexity of the space demanded absolute precision, and the result is an immersive system that delivers consistent clarity and impact across every level.’
