The Sky Bar rooftop venue in Ba Ria Vung Tau, Vietnam, offers views of the coastline accompanied by live events and high-energy with a Bose Professional loudspeaker system and Powersoft T Series amplifiers.
The installation at Sky Bar posed a series of technical challenges including tight installation deadlines and limited equipment space, as well as demanding acoustic expectations.
Knowing that the installation would also have to withstand the wind and sea salt presented by the location’s harsh coastal conditions, Hoang Phu Sound took on the role of project consultant selecting Powersoft’s four-channel, 8kW T904A and two four-channel, 6kW T604A amplifier platforms to serve Bose AMU208 full-range loudspeakers and MB210WR subwoofers (Bridge Mode in Powersoft T604A).
The amps occupy a central equipment rack close to the bar area, allowing ready access for maintenance and monitoring. ‘The T Series offered a compact size with powerful performance, which was perfect for Sky Bar,’ says UPSV Technical Manager, Nguyen Luong Niem.
System tuning and adjustments were done using Powersoft ArmoníaPlus System Design software for the best performance. ‘ArmoníaPlus software allowed the team to configure and fine-tune remote adjustments with ease and efficiency while ensuring that the system performed optimally,’ Nguyen Luong Niem explains.
Despite the challenges, the easy-to-tune sound system now boasts exceptional sound quality optimal performance and remote connectivity.
‘Before using Powersoft, we faced issues with inefficient energy usage and heat dissipation in large sound systems, especially in high-demand environments,’ he continues. ‘After switching to Powersoft’s T Series, these issues were resolved with the help of Powersoft’s Smart Rails Management technology, which recycles reactive energy and reduces heat dissipation while also improving energy efficiency.’
