RCF Audio has made BIM files available for its HDL and HL loudspeaker families.
Building Information Modeling (BIM) is an intelligent, 3D model-based process that provides architecture, engineering, and construction professionals with the insight and tools to plan, design, construct, and manage buildings and infrastructure more efficiently.
These files allow system designers, consultants, and integrators to visualise products in 3D in order to see how they fit into the space before installation, streamline the system design process with precise dimensions and specifications directly into design software, an d share detailed models with architects and engineers to ensure optimal system placement and integration.
Each file is compiled with all product technical specs. The project file includes all proposed configurations, such as HL 6 line-array and HL 35-AS and configurations of the two, and HDL series speakers and HDL AS flyable subs in all configurations.
Each loudspeaker family is fully configurable, while remaining constrained by factory parameters. For example, if there are ten possible inclination values between two HDL units, the file ensures that any user-defined angle will be automatically adjusted to the closest valid option. Also, users may modify the number of elements and the presence of flybars and extension bars, with adjustable positions where applicable.
