Sensaphonics has reduced the pricing for its dB Check Pro sound level analyser by streamlining the infrastructure behind it with online updatability, as well as extending the catalogue of earphone models supported. The move accompanies the company’s 40th anniversary and underlines its commitment to hearing health support through innovation and accessibility.
dB Check Pro supports a growing list of IEM and headphone models that includes more than 150 earphones from major manufacturers. This latest update includes the addition of models from Fischer Amps, as well as earphones from Ultimate Ears, 64 Audio and Beyerdynamic. Sensaphonics’ new software tools allow rapid addition of additional IEMs and headphones based on user demand and the introduction of new models.
‘This reflects our mission to protect the hearing of those who rely on it most,’ says Sensaphonics founder and President Dr Michael Santucci, a longstanding advocate for safe listening and a participant in programmes such as the World Health Organization’s Make Listening Safe Initiative.
The dB Check Pro remains the only device presently available to offer IEM calculated at-ear real-time and average sound pressure level estimates (dBA SPL). The unit also calculates safe listening durations based on NIOSH and OSHA guidelines, supporting informed decisions about listening habits in high-sound-level environments.
Designed to work unobtrusively in-line with any IEM or headphone monitoring system, the dB Check Pro has become an essential tool for many musicians, engineers and live production professionals. One device can readily be shared among multiple users, making it an effective investment for touring groups, praise bands, production teams and rehearsal spaces.
