With abundant entertainment options for both day and nighttime entertainment, the city of Bac Lieu, 300km south of Hanoi, has seen the opening of the D&K Karaoke-Coffee – now one of the largest venues in southern of Vietnam. As sound quality as fundamental to its appeal, regional pro audio distributor Viet Thuong supplied a full audio solution and called in karaoke specialist Tân Dung Company to handle the installation.
The distributor’s technicians recommended installing DAS Artec 300 systems to cover the varied needs of Karaoke-Coffee D&K. Designed for use in a wide range of fixed sound reinforcement applications, these systems were used to equip seven rooms, including the main room, with sound.
This large space was equipped with a main PA that harnesses four Artec-320 fixed installation line array systems, set up in two clusters of two units on each side of the room. To deliver low-frequency punch, two Artec-322S sub-bass systems are installed in the centre of the room, supplemented by two Action-218S systems to the sides. Six Artec-315.96 systems cover the most remote areas of the room.
To deliver sound in each of the remaining six rooms, all different sizes, the sound technicians developed a custom solution for each space based on Artec-312.96 and Artec-315.96 systems to guarantee maximum coverage and sound quality. DAS Audio PA-1500 amplifiers supply signal amplification to the entire system.
After the venue owners expressed their satisfaction with the sound quality and performance of the DAS systems, Tân Dung Company expects to equip a further 17 D&K Karaoke-Coffee hotspots over coming months.
