Genelec has appointed Audio-Technica France to handle distribution of its studio and A/V loudspeaker ranges, with Gilles Pétrotey joining the Audio-Technica team to spearhead Genelec sales in the region.
With Audio-Technica already handling the distribution of Genelec products in the Netherlands and Spain, this move further strengthens the relationship between the two companies, which will also benefit from the three decades of pro audio experience that Pétrotey brings.
Having held senior positions at Yamaha, Beyer, Lexicon and the TC Group, Pétrotey previously served with the Music Tribe organisation to oversee Western Europe sales with particular responsibility for the TC Electronic, Tannoy, Lab Gruppen and Midas brands. As an accomplished musician with a deep knowledge of many market segments, he brings a wealth of industry connections in music recording, broadcast and A/V installation. His appointment enables Audio-Technica France to expand Genelec’s regional brand presence, embrace new business opportunities and both support and engage with local customers more effectively.
