BME Events has joined the move towards virtual operation, touting its ability to host digital meetings, virtual roadshows and demos, webinars and training sessions. The announcement is presently a plea for clients to come forward to discuss with their own objectives, rather than a trade show initiative from BME to step into any of the space left by shows that have been canelled or put on hold in response to the coronavirus pandemic.
‘At BME we have faced many challenges, but our agility and commitment to making things work have always resulted in success for us and our clients,’ the company statement says. ‘With this mantra we now enter the fray with a new set of potential solutions that we call our Virtual Suite.’
BME Events is a multi-faceted event planning and production company based in Egypt, that manages large-scale conferences and exhibitions, as well as intimate product launches. ‘We’ve even facilitated the launch and opening ceremony of an entire new city,’ the company statement boasts. ‘We also run gaming events – including the biggest gaming festival in Egypt – many of which take place online. We’ve already launched a successful virtual campaign for Telecom Egypt encouraging their customers to #StayHome and #StaySafe by accessing a number of exciting games and tournaments online.’
To date, the most inclusive virtual initiatives have come from Martin Audio, which extended beyond its own immediate concerns to include those of its international distribution partners, and the move of the European AES Convention (planned for Vienna) into virtual space.
